Janssen Spain was awarded the Fundamed-El Global price for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This award recognizes exceptional and outstanding CSR policies and initiatives among healthcare companies operating in Spain.
The prize was presented to Antonio Fernández, Head of Market Access and Government Affairs. Antonio emphasized the social engagements of Janssen to concentrate their energies on the unmet needs of society, "being socially responsible is a way of giving back to society a small part of how much Janssen received".

Presentation of the award
Janssen, along with other J&J companies in Spain, contributed to a variety of CSR programs, in line with the principles of our Credo Values. Some examples are:
• "Impulso Solidario", a project to put heating in centres for children with social risk, an action in which more than 600 employees have participated
• projects against the gender violence, in collaboration with “Fundación Tomillo”
• training and technical information to relatives of people with mental illness, through FEAFES (Fundación Española de Asociaciones de Familiares con Enfermedad Mental)
• training to Indian doctors with the collaboration of Spanish doctors, through the “Vicente Ferrer Foundation”
• actions to improve access to medicines in developing countries
Fundamed (Fundación de Ciencias del Medicamento y Productos Sanitarios) is the Foundation for the Science of Medicines and Healthcare Products and El Global is a well-known specialized pharmaceuticals journal. This was the tenth edition of the Fundamed-El Global Awards.
